Nuclear Fast Red
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Nuclear Fast Red, an anthraquinone dye, is commonly used in conjunction with an excess of aluminum ions as a red nuclear counterstain. Nuclear fast red has been used as a histochemical and colorimetric reagent for calcium. Nuclear fast red as highly sensitive "off/on" fluorescent probe for detecting guanine.

Biologische Aktivität
Nuclear Fast Red is a photosensitizer that mediates the single electron transfer, generates reactive oxygen species and other free radicals under visible light irradiation[3].
Nuclear Fast Red spontaneously and irreversibly binds to DNA in the groove structure, and forms a non-fluorescent complex. Nuclear Fast Red can be used as a contrast dye in biological experiments[3].
