CTP (cardiac targeting peptide) can transduce cardiomyocytes in vitro. CTP leads to efficient and specific transduction of heart tissue in mice model. CTP can be reversibly linked (e.g. via enolases, thiol groups) to cargo (e.g. miRNAs) for delivery specifically to cardiomyocytes over all other organs.

Activité biologique
CTP (50-200 μM, 30 min) leads to significant internalization in H9C2 cells when coupled with 6-CF[1].
CTP (50-400 μM, 30 min) is able to deliver the peptide NBD into H9C2 cells which inhibits the TNF-α (HY-P1860) (10 ng/mL) induced increase in NF-κB transcriptional activity[1].
CTP (5 μg/mL, 24-144 h) delivers miRNA106a which then reverses PE/Ang2-induced hypertrophic responses in hypertrophic human cardiomyocytes (HCMs)[2].
