Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)
Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) is a bacterially derived (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate homopolymer and a degradable biomaterial. Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) degrades in vivo via lipases and esterases, breaking down into 3-Hydroxybutyric acid (HY-113378). Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) can be compounded with 15% Hydroxyapatite (HA) (HY-D0835A) or 7.5-10% nanobioglass for use as a bone scaffold.

Activité biologique
Pure Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) scaffolds support the adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of rabbit bone marrow cells, and are non-tumorigenic and non-genotoxic, but the proliferation rate is slower than that of modified scaffolds[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (implant; single administration) support bone formation and blood vessel development without inflammation or rejection in surgically created cranial defects of adult male rats within 12 weeks[1].
