Description

Chingchengenamide A is a natural alkaloid.

In Vitro

Chingchengenamide A (100 μg; 24 h) exhibits antimicrobial activity against tested gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, with the highest zone of inhibition (21 mm) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa[1].
Chingchengenamide A exhibits favorable ADMET properties including high human intestinal absorption, good Caco-2 permeability, and non-carcinogenicity[1].
Chingchengenamide A (0.1-100 μM; 90 min) increases glucose uptake but does not affect fatty acid uptake in differentiated Caco-2 cells[2].
Chingchengenamide A (0.00125-0.01 mg/mL; 48 h) potently kills Aedes albopictus third instar larvae[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Chingchengenamide A (10-20 mg/kg; p.o.) exhibits dose-dependent antidiarrheal activity in Swiss albino mice (Castor oil (HY-107799)-induced diarrhea)[1].
Chingchengenamide A (10-20 mg/kg; p.o.) exhibits dose-dependent analgesic activity in Swiss albino mice (Acetic acid (HY-Y0319)-induced writhing)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Swiss albino mice induced by Castor oil (4–5 weeks old, both genders)[1]
Dosage: 10 mg/kg; 20 mg/kg
Administration: p.o.
Result: Reduced diarrhea by 33.33% at 10 mg/kg; reduced diarrhea by 40% at 20 mg/kg.
Animal Model: Swiss albino mice induced by Acetic acid (4–5 weeks old, both genders)[1]
Dosage: 10 mg/kg; 20 mg/kg
Administration: p.o.
Result: Reduced writhing by 34.69% at 10 mg/kg; reduced writhing by 42.86% at 20 mg/kg.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
