Biological Activity
Cholesterol-PEG 600 (24 h; 37°C) promotes fibril formation of Aβ (1-42), binds regularly to protofibrils, and forms a smooth coating on the surface of mature double-helical Aβ (1-42) fibrils[1].
Cholesterol-PEG 600 (1 h; room temperature) binds periodically to preformed Aβ (1-42) protofibrils, but binds to preformed mature double-helical Aβ (1-42) fibers in an aperiodic, disordered manner[1].
