Chondroitinase ABC
Based on 2 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Chondroitinase ABC (ChABC) is an enzyme that degrades glycosaminoglycan side-chains of chondroitin sulfate (CS-GAG) from the chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan (CSPG) core protein. Chondroitinase ABC facilitates reinnervation by degrading CS-GAGs around motoneurons. Chondroitinase ABC has the potential for the research of spinal injury.

Product Information
The molecular weight of chondroitinase ABC is ~120 kDa (gel filtration and sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation), and SDS-PAGE shows two different subunits with molecular weights of 86 kDa and 32 kDa, respectively. The optimal reaction conditions are pH 8.0 (chondroitin sulfate), pH 6.8 (hyaluronic acid), and 37°C.
Activator: 0.05 M acetate
Inhibitor: 1 mM Zn2+
Instructions
Redissolve in 0.01% BSA aqueous solution. Subsequently, dilute with a buffer containing 50 mM Tris HCl (pH 8.0), 60 mM sodium acetate, and 0.02% BSA, and prepare the solution before use.
