DPPE-PEG1000-SH
DPPE-PEG1000-SH (DPPE-PEG1000-Thiol) is a conjugate composed of DPPE, a PEG chain, and a terminal thiol group (-SH). The thiol group in DPPE-PEG1000-SH exhibits strong chemical reactivity and can participate in various bioconjugation reactions for targeted modification of liposomes/nanoparticles.

Biological Activity
The structure of DPPE-PEG-SH comprises three key components that work synergistically:
DPPE: Acts as a hydrophobic anchor, responsible for securely embedding the entire molecule into the membrane structure of lipid nanoparticles.
PEG chain: Acts as a hydrophilic spacer arm, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system recognition and clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
Thiol group (-SH): Located at the end of the PEG chain, it can undergo a specific thiol-maleimide addition reaction with maleimide groups, and can also achieve reversible cross-linking through disulfide bond formation (-S-S-). Thiol groups can also form stable Au-S bonds with the surface of gold nanoparticles, enabling the construction of liposome-gold nanoparticle composite systems.
