Biological Activity
Nanoparticles constructed with DSPE-PEG-Folate and anticancer drugs enter cells mainly through the endocytosis pathway mediated by FA receptors. The nanoparticles mainly accumulate in the cytoplasm, while the released drugs are distributed in the cytoplasm and nucleus, which can effectively deliver drugs to the nucleus to play a role. DSPE-PEG-Folate can increase the elimination half-life of the drug and prolong the blood circulation time[1].
