DTAC,for IPC,≥99%  (Synonyms: Dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride,for IPC,≥99%)

Cat. No.: HY-W096983 Purity: 99.0%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

DTAC (Dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride), for IPC, ≥99% is a quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant. DTAC, for IPC, ≥99% can form micelles in aqueous media, which interact with and encapsulate Diclofenac sodium (HY-15037) molecules; the micellization process is entropy-driven at lower temperatures and enthalpy-driven at higher temperatures.

Description

DTAC (Dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride), for IPC, ≥99% is a quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant. DTAC, for IPC, ≥99% can form micelles in aqueous media, which interact with and encapsulate Diclofenac sodium (HY-15037) molecules; the micellization process is entropy-driven at lower temperatures and enthalpy-driven at higher temperatures[1].

In Vitro

DTAC (0-1 mM) interaction with Diclofenac sodium molecules in aqueous solution causes a significant shift in the drug's characteristic UV-visible peak[1].
DTAC exhibits a linear decrease in cmc with increasing temperature in the absence of Diclofenac sodium, and a U-shaped cmc dependence with a minimum at 298.15 K in the presence of Diclofenac sodium, with corresponding thermodynamic parameters indicating entropy-driven micellisation at low temperatures and enthalpy-driven micellisation at high temperatures[1].
DTAC (0-0.010 M diclofenac sodium) shows that at 298.15 K, increasing diclofenac sodium concentration in aqueous DTAC solutions increases DTAC's cmc (from 0.0213 to 0.0261 mol kg−1) and increases its ΔGₘ0 (from -31.42 to -26.63 kJ mol−1), delaying micellisation[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
