Europine
Europine is a pyrrolizidine alkaloid present in the whole plant of Heliotropium crassifolium. Europine dose-dependently increases the micronucleus rate of metabolically active HepaRG cells, while reducing the relative cell viability.

Biological Activity
Europine (7.9‑60 μM; 24 h) induces micronucleus formation in metabolically active human hepatic HepaRG cells[2].
Europine (1.95‑1000 μM; 24 h) dose-dependently increases the micronucleus rate (% MN) of metabolically active human hepatic HepaRG cells, while reducing the relative cell viability[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
