Description

FBPase-IN-2 (Compound HS36) is a covalent FBPase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.15 μM for wild-type FBPase. FBPase-IN-2 inhibits glucose production in primary mouse hepatocytes via gluconeogenesis modulation. FBPase-IN-2 can be used for the research of type 2 diabetes mellitus[1].

IC50 & Target

IC50: 0.15 μM (FBPase)[1]

In Vitro

FBPase-IN-2 potently inhibits wild-type FBPase with an IC50 of 0.15 μM[1].
FBPase-IN-2 (HS36) (25-200 μM; 4 h) inhibits gluconeogenesis-driven glucose production in primary mouse hepatocytes, with an inhibition rate of 41% observed at the concentration of 100 μM[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
