Description

Fluorescent Substrate for Glu-Specific Proteases is a V8 protease-Specific chromogenic substrate[1].

In Vitro

V8 protease (0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0, 10, 20 µg/ml) is assayed with a solution of 200 µM of the synthetic substrate (Fluorescent Substrate for Glu-Specific Proteases; ABz-AFAFEVFY(NO2)D-OH) in HEPES buffer pH 7.4 and at room temperature conditions. The fluorescence was read each 1 min for 60 min by fluorescence microplate reader[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
