Peptide 22 (YHWYGYTPENVI) (2 μM) specifically binds to EGFR on MDA-MB-468 and MDA-MB-231 triple-negative breast cancer cells, with significantly higher uptake than the parent GE11 peptide and dose-dependent binding saturation at 2 μM in MDA-MB-231 cells^[1].
Peptide 22 shows high uptake in MDA-MB-468 and MDA-MB-231 triple-negative breast cancer cells but has low serum stability, requiring cyclization to enhance in vivo utility^[2].
