1. GJ103

GJ103 is a read-through compound that can induce read through of premature stop codons. GJ103 has potential for the research of genetic disorders caused by nonsense mutations.

At equivalent molar concentrations, both the salt and free forms of a compound exhibit comparable biological activity. Nevertheless, the salt form (GJ103 sodium) usually boasts enhanced water solubility and stability.

Description

GJ103 is a read-through compound that can induce read through of premature stop codons. GJ103 has potential for the research of genetic disorders caused by nonsense mutations[1].

In Vivo

GJ103 (10-30 μM; 4 days) induces ATM kinase activity in AT153LA cells with a homozygous TGA mutation and a homozygous TAA mutation[1].
GJ103 does not show obvious cytotoxicity in A-T cells at concentration as high as 300 µM[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
