Description

Gochnatiolide A is a dimeric sesquiterpene that can be found in Ainsliaea henryi. Gochnatiolide A exhibits antiproliferative activity against the kidney, melanoma, ovarian-resistant and glioma cell lines[1][2].

In Vitro

Gochnatiolide A (0.25-250 μg/mL; 48 h) inhibits cell growth, with values of TGI (total growth inhibition) of 0.42, 0.49, 0.70, 1.09, 1.69, 4.66, 5.42, 6.63, 54.73, 13.13, and 114.87 μg/mL for 786.0, UACC-62, NCI-ADR/RES, U251, MCF-7, NCI-H460, HT-29, PC-3, OVCAR-3, VERO, and K562 cells, respectively[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
