Biological Activity
Guattegaumerine (1.25-6.25 μM; 24 hours; 30 min before exposure to serum-starvation+H2O2) significantly increases cell viability at 1.25 and 2.5μM; and guattegaumerine pretreatment significantly inhibits LDH efflux[1].Guattegaumerine (2.5 μM; 24 hours; 30 min before exposure to serum-starvation+H2O2) markedly reduces the oxidative stress-induced apoptosis in rat cortical neurons when compares with the control group[1].Guattegaumerine (1.25-2.5 μM; 24 hours; 30 min before exposure to serum-starvation+H2O2) decreases H2O2 and KCl induced Ca[2+]i increase in cortical neurons[1].
