Hosenkoside I (compound 4) (0.35 g; 3 h acid hydrolysis, 2 days enzymatic hydrolysis) is isolated from Impatiens balsamina seeds and is structurally characterized as hosenkol B 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosido-26-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, with a molecular formula corresponding to an m/z 815 [M-H]− ion peak in negative FAB-MS[1].
