Description

Modzatinib (ITK kinase-IN-1) is an oral active, selective, covalent ITK/JAK3 dual-target inhibitor with IC50 values of 8 nM and 23 nM, respectively. Modzatinib exhibits anti-inflammatory activity and can be used in the research of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases[1].

In Vitro

Modzatinib (Compound I) (0.01-1000 ng/mL; 2-18 h) inhibits aCD3/CD28-induced IL2/IFNγ mRNA and IL15-induced pSTAT5 in whole blood[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Modzatinib (5-15 mg/kg; oral gavage; BID; 14 days) dose-dependently reduces ankle swelling in a rat AIA model[1].
Modzatinib (100-300 ppm; diet admixed; QD; 35 days) dose-dependently ameliorates inflammatory injury in the colon and ileum in a mouse T-cell transfer colitis model[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: C57BL/6 mice (male, ~20 g, 6-8 weeks); T cell transfer-induced inflammatory bowel disease[1]
Dosage: 100 ppm, 300 ppm
Administration: diet admixed, QD, 35 days
Result: Dose-dependently decreased histopathological scores in proximal colon, distal colon and ileum, and showed better protective effects than anti-IL12p40 antibody.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
