Description

Karrikinolide is a plant-active compound. Karrikinolide can be extracted from smoke water (SW). Karrikinolide promotes total Cytokinin production. Plants treated with Karrikinolide exhibit superior growth in terms of rooting, leaf and bulb size, and fresh weight[1].

In Vitro

Application of karrikinolide (1-100 nM) during the in vitro propagation stage improves post-transplant growth parameters (rooting rate, leaf and bulb size, fresh weight) of Eucomis autumnalis subsp. autumnalis plantlets after 4 months of acclimatization, and increases the total accumulation of isoprenoid-type cytokinins in the plantlets[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
