Clesrovimab (MK1654) is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) protein F. Clesrovimab binds to pre-fusion and post-fusion forms of RSV-A fusion protein with high affinity, with corresponding KD values of 71 pM and 480 pM, respectively. Clesrovimab is applicable for the research of RSV infection.

Clesrovimab potently neutralizes historical and contemporary RSV A and B isolates in Hep-2 cells, with median EC50 values of 25 pM, 30 pM, 121 pM, and 130 pM for historical RSV A, historical RSV B, contemporary RSV A, and contemporary RSV B isolates, respectively[1].
Clesrovimab selects for resistant variants during in vitro serial passage of RSV A and RSV B, with >3800-fold reduced susceptibility in RSV A variants and >360-fold reduced susceptibility in an RSV B variant[1].
