GPS1573 is a noncompetitive antagonist of melanocortin type 2 receptor (MC2R) that dose-dependently antagonizes ACTH-stimulated MC2R activity (IC50=66 nM). GPS1573 can be used in the study of Cushing's disease due to its highly selective antagonism of MC2R.

GPS1573 (0-100 μM; 20 min) antagonizes adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-stimulated MC2R activity in a dose-dependent manner, with an IC50 of 66 nM[1].
GPS1573 (0-100 μM; 20 min) antagonizes the activity of α-MSH in HEK293 cells transiently transfected with MC3R, with an IC50 of 460 nM[1].
GPS1573 (0-100 μM; 20 min) antagonizes the activity of α-MSH in HEK293 cells transiently transfected with MC4R, with an IC50 of 950 nM[1].

Add each solvent one by one: 10% DMSO 90% (20% SBE-β-CD in Saline)

This protocol yields a clear solution of ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (saturation unknown).
Taking 1 mL working solution as an example, add 100 μL DMSO stock solution (25.0 mg/mL) to 900 μL 20% SBE-β-CD in Saline, and mix evenly.
Preparation of 20% SBE-β-CD in Saline (4°C, storage for one week): 2 g SBE-β-CD powder is dissolved in 10 mL Saline, completely dissolve until clear.
