Description

Lamiide, an orally active iridoid compound, can be found in Bouchea fluminensis leaves. Lamiide exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-lipoperoxidative activity[1].

In Vitro

Lamiide inhibits rat-brain phospholipid peroxidation, with an IC50 of 0.92 mM[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Lamiide (12.5-100 mg/kg; p.o. 30 min before Carrageenin injection) dose-dependently reduces Carrageenin-induced edema[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Female Wistar rats (8-weeks old, 150-200 g) were injected with Carrageenin in the subplantar aponeurosis of the right hind paw[1]
Dosage: 12.5, 25, 50, 100 mg/kg
Administration: P.o. 30 min before Carrageenin injection
Result: Reduced Carrageenin-induced edema, with an ED50 of 62.3 mg/kg.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
