Description

MAF-10L is a membrane-disrupting agent, a cationic amphipathic Mastoparan AF derivative with enhanced α-helicity. MAF-10L preferentially interacts with DOPS lipids in cancer cell membranes, disrupting cancer cell membranes to trigger membrane leakage. MAF-10L can be used for the research of cancer[1].

In Vitro

MAF-10L (50 µM) shows the highest α-helical content among tested derivatives, with 48.7% helicity in PBS and 99.7% helicity in 10% SDS[1].
MAF-10L (50 µM) has the highest self-association propensity in the MAF series[1].
MAF-10L (0.39-200 µM; 6 h) exhibits potent anticancer activity against 4T1, B16F10, CT26, A549, and Hep3b cells with IC50 values ranging from 2.4 to 9.2 µM[1].
MAF-10L (4-128 µM; 20 min) exhibits elevated hemolytic activity on RBCs, with higher percentages at increased concentrations[1].
MAF-10L (5-10 µM; 1 h) damages the plasma membrane of A549 cells, leading to increased PI uptake[1].
MAF-10L (50 ns) maintains a fully α-helical structure during 50 ns MD simulation in water[1].
