N-Desmethyl dimethoate (14C-labeled N-Desmethyl dimethoate; 0.50-2.58 ppm) undergoes rapid metabolism in Phaseolus vulgaris plants, with the amount of parent compound extractable by organic solvents dropping to less than 1% of the administered dose within 2 days; its metabolites include Dimethoate carboxylic acid, N-desmethyl dimethoxon and Dimethoxon carboxylic acid[1].
