Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Ophioglonol is successfully isolated as a known component from the methanol extract of the whole plant of Ophioglossum thermale Kom., with a yield of 100 mg[1].
Ophioglonol (compound 7) exhibits molecular docking scores of -8.8 and -7.9 kcal/mol against hAPN/CD13 (PDB ID: 4FYT) and SOD (PDB ID: 1CB4), respectively, in computational studies. In a 100 ns molecular dynamics simulation with hAPN/CD13, the complex forms multiple hydrogen bonds and π interactions, and the MM/GBSA-calculated ΔGMM-GBSA is -24.1644 kcal/mol[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
