Description

Phochinenin K is a 9,10-dihydrophenanthrene derivative present in the rhizomes of Bletilla formosana. Phochinenin K exhibits anti-inflammatory activity and can be used in the study of inflammatory diseases[1].

In Vitro

Phochinenin K (compound 23) potently inhibits superoxide anion generation (IC50 = 0.4 μM) and elastase release (IC50 = 0.6 μM) in FMLP/CB-activated human neutrophils[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
