In Vivo

Romiplostim (3-300 μg/kg; s.c.; single dose at 24-26 h post-irradiation; daily on Days 1-3 post-irradiation; daily on Days 1-5 post-irradiation) provides a statistically significant ~40% increase in 30-day survival and hastens platelet recovery when administered as a single subcutaneous dose of 30 or 100 μg/kg 24 hours post-6.8 Gy total body irradiation, with no additional benefit from repeat dosing or co-administration with pegfilgrastim[1].
