Fenbendazole is a microtubule destabilizing agent and acts on helminthes primarily by binding to tubulin and disrupting the tubulin microtubule equilibrium. Fenbendazole stabilizes the transcriptional activator HIF-1α. Fenbendazole possesses an efficient anti-proliferative activity and induces apoptosis.
