Description

Solasulfone (Solapsone; Sulfetrone) is an inhibitor of complement protein C1q and β-lactamase. Solasulfone also acts as a chemotherapeutic agent and can be used in cancer research^[1].

All Beta-lactamase Isoforms :

In Vitro

Solasulfone (Compound 35) (30 min) inhibits activation of the classical complement pathway in guinea pig serum, with an IC₅₀ of 130 μM^[1].
Solasulfone (0.98 mM; 1 h) inhibits C1r/C1s activity in guinea pig serum via interaction with C1q, with inhibition rates of 18.39% and 18.77% at the concentration of 0.98 mM in two complementary ELISA assays^[1].
