Biological Activity
Sphingosine (d17:1) can be phosphorylated by sphingosine kinases to produce C-17 sphingosine-1-phosphate. Sphingosine C-17 was used as an internal standard for spectral analysis of sphingoid compounds. Sphingosine (d17:1) is an important bioactive lipid that mediates the cell signaling transduction, exhibits neuroprotective and anti-apoptotic activity[2][3][4].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
