Description

Stauntoside Ⅱ is a 14,15-secopregnane-type C21 steroidal glycoside found in the roots of Cynanchum stauntonii. Stauntoside Ⅱ does not exhibit cytotoxic activity against human colon, hepatoma, gastric, lung, and ovarian cancer cells[1].

In Vitro

Stauntoside Ⅱ (compound 4) (24 h) shows no cytotoxic activity against HCT-8, Bel-7402, BGC-823, A549 and A2780 human tumor cell lines[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Proliferation Assay[1]

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
