Description

4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine is a morpholine fungicide and plant-growth regulator. 4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine targets phytopathogenic fungi including Oomycetes, Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes. 4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine acts synergistically with acylalanine fungicides to enhance antifungal efficacy and regulate plant growth. 4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine can be applied to the study of plant fungal diseases and phytopathogenic fungal infections[1][2].

In Vitro

4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (Aldimorph) (0.4-40 mg/l; 5 days), which is the main component of Aldimorph, inhibits radial growth of Phytophthora cinnamomi in vitro with 64% inhibition at 40 mg/L and 1% inhibition at both 4 mg/L and 0.4 mg/L after 5 days of incubation[1].
4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine inhibits the vegetative (radial) growth of multiple Phytophthora species, with corresponding ED50 values of 32.7 mg/l (P. cactorum), 36.2 mg/l (P. cambivora), 32.5 mg/l (P. citricola), and 517.6 mg/l (P. parasitica var. nicotianae)[1][2].

In Vivo

4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (Aldimorph) (5.4-1040 mg/L; immersion/foliar spray; 18 h pre-infection), which is the main component of Aldimorph, shows no single-agent efficacy against sunflower downy mildew but acts synergistically with phenylamide fungicides[1].
4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (1040.0 mg/L; immersion; single treatment) exhibits activity against sunflower downy mildew with an ED50 of 1040.0 mg/L when applied as a post-infection immersion treatment[2].
4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (40–50 mg/L; immersion; dark conditions) reduces sunflower hypocotyl length, and its growth-inhibitory effect is antagonized by 10 mg/L phenylamide fungicides[1].
4-Dodecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (0.1 mg/L; foliar spray; 12 days/four-leaf stage) induces a 111% increase in tomato dry weight and synergistically promotes plant growth with phenylamide fungicides[1][2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
