9-Ethylguanine
Based on 1 Customer Validation
9-Ethylguanine is a modified nucleobase derived from guanine that coordinates to azolato-bridged dinuclear platinum(II) complexes via its N7 nitrogen atom. 9-Ethylguanine forms adducts with a ruthenium(II) complex via the N7 position of its guanine moiety.

Biological Activity
9-Ethylguanine (8 mM) reacts with tetrazolato-bridged dinuclear platinum(II) complexes 3 and 4 to form an identical asymmetric 1:2 complex via Pt(II) migration[1].
9-Ethylguanine complex 3; 1-96 h, room temperature) forms diastereomeric adducts with ruthenium(II) complex 3 via its N7 position within 1 hour at room temperature, with concurrent P-O bond cleavage observed after 24 hours[2].
9-Ethylguanine binds to dichlorido(η6-toluene)(3,5,6-bicyclophosphite-1,2-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose)ruthenium(II) via its N7 position, forming diastereomeric adducts within 1 hour at room temperature[3].
