Animal Model:Female BALB/c mice or female jirds were infected at 6–8 weeks of age with L. sigmodontis larvae through the bites of Ornithonyssus bacoti mites[1].

Dosage:150 mg/kg.

Administration:PO once daily for 14 days started at 14 weeks post infection (pti).
-
Result:Wolbachia levels (measured 16 weeks post-treatment-initiation, pti) were reduced by >99.9% in the recovered female adult worms.
Starting at ~7 weeks pti, levels of circulating microfilariae declined and were completely cleared from 12 weeks pti until the end of this study at 16 weeks pti.
