A1-Phytoprostane-I
A1-Phytoprostane-I (Phytoprostane A1) is a cyclopentenone-type phytoprostane that forms via free radical-catalyzed non-enzymatic oxidation of α-linolenic acid. A1-Phytoprostane-I exhibits multiple biological activities, including inducing the accumulation of phytoalexins (e.g., Scopoletin (HY-N0342)) in tobacco cells, activating mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) in tomato cells, and inducing the expression of glutathione-S-transferase 1 (Glutathione-S-transferase 1) in Arabidopsis thaliana.

Description
In Vitro
A1-Phytoprostane-I (75 μM; 5 min) rapidly activates a myelin basic protein-phosphorylating MAPK in Lycopersicon esculentum cell cultures within 5 min of treatment[1].
A1-Phytoprostane-I (4 nmol per leaf; 24 h) induces an 11-fold increase in GST1 promoter-driven GUS activity in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0) leaves 24 h post-infiltration[1].
