α-Synuclein-IN-26

α-Synuclein-IN-26 is an α-Synuclein inhibitor that inhibits αSyn oligomerization (IC₅₀ = 10.5 μM) and fibrillization, and binds to native monomeric αSyn. α-Synuclein-IN-26 has neuroprotective effects, protecting dopaminergic neurons from A53T αSyn-induced neurotoxicity. α-Synuclein-IN-26 does not affect intercellular transmission of αSyn and does not alter cellular αSyn protein levels, with no significant toxicity to dopaminergic neurons. α-Synuclein-IN-26 can be used in research related to Parkinson's disease.

α-Synuclein-IN-26 (100 μM; 0-99 h) inhibits αSyn oligomerization in cell-free split-GLuc and FRET αSyn oligomerization assays with an IC₅₀ of 10.5 μM^[1].
α-Synuclein-IN-26 (20 h) reduces cellular αSyn oligomers without significantly altering αSyn protein levels in H4 neuroglioma cells expressing the split-GLuc αSyn reporter^[1].
α-Synuclein-IN-26 (10-60 μM) inhibits A53T αSyn-induced neurotoxicity in primary midbrain dopaminergic neuron cultures transduced with A53T αSyn^[1].
