Description

Anticancer agent 102 is a derivative of tetracaine. Anticancer agent 102 has anti-cancer activity. Anticancer agent 102 induces apoptosis[1].

In Vitro

Anticancer agent 102 (compound 2s; 24 and 48 h) has antitumor activity with IC50 values of 299.4 μM and 20.8 μM against Colo-205 and HepG2 cells, respectively[1].
Anticancer agent 102 (25 µM and 50 µM; 24 h) down-regulates the expression level of apoptotic protein PI3K and FoXO3a, up-regulates the expression level of PTEN and FoXO1 in Colo-205 cells[1].
Anticancer agent 102 (24 h) up-regulates Bax expression and induces caspase-3-dependent apoptosis in the HepG2 cell line[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Viability Assay[ 1]

Cell Line: Colo-205 and HepG2 cells
Concentration: 12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 µM
Incubation Time: 24 and 48 hours
Result: Inhibited cell growth in a dose-dependent manner.

Western Blot Analysis[ 1]

Cell Line: Colo-205 cells
Concentration: 25 µM and 50 µM

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
