Biological Activity
Beta-Asp-Arg serves as the substrate for Legionella longbeachae NSW150 dipeptidase Llo2535, whose hydrolysis of Beta-Asp-Arg supports the bacterium's nutrient utilization from cyanophycin[1].
Beta-Asp-Arg forms multiple hydrogen bond interactions with Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 cyanophycinase in a covalent co-complex structure[2].
Beta-Asp-Arg (200 μM) alone shows no measurable binding to inactive Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 cyanophycinase S132A, while the dimer (β-Asp-Arg)2 (300 μM) binds with high affinity (Kd = 9.3 μM) and the trimer (β-Asp-Arg)3 (200 μM) binds with lower affinity (Kd = 25.1 μM)[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
