Bz-OMe-rA (N-Benzoyl-2′-O-methyladenosine) is a nucleoside analog with an N-benzoyl protecting group and a 2'-O-methyladenosine phosphoramidite unit. Bz-OMe-rA serves as a starting material for the chemical synthesis of the 5'-terminal cap structure of cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus mRNA and also acts as a building block for solid-phase RNA oligonucleotide synthesis.

Biological Activity
Bz-OMe-rA (N-Benzoyl-2′-O-methyladenosine) can yield its 5'-dithiophosphate derivative through TPS‑mediated phosphorylation[1].
Bz-OMe-rA can produce its 3'-dithiophosphate derivative via tritylation, TPS‑mediated phosphorylation, and detritylation reactions[1].
Bz-OMe-rA participates in the preparation of the 5'-terminal trinucleotide fragment of U1 snRNA via standard phosphoramidite solid-phase synthesis[2].
