MD08-1
MD08 is an inhibitor of Aβ42 fibrillization and Tau aggregation. MD08 improves recognition memory and learning/memory abilities in Aβ-induced cognitive decline mouse models. MD08 does not impair motor coordination in Aβ-injected mice. MD08 has no anticancer activity against neuroblastoma. MD08 can be used for research on Alzheimer's disease.

Activité biologique
Description
In Vitro
MD08 (50 μM; 5 h) suppresses Aβ42 fibril formation, as shown by reduced and smaller aggregates in TEM images[1].
MD08 (100-200 μM; 72 h) inhibits heparin-induced tau aggregation in a concentration-dependent manner, reaching approximately 75% inhibition at 200 μM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Line:SH-SY5Y
-
Concentration:50 μM
-
Incubation Time:24 h
-
Result:Did not exhibit any significant cytotoxic effects compared with the control group.
In Vivo
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
-
Animal Model:Swiss albino (25-40 g)[1]
-
Dosage:2 mg/kg, 5 mg/kg, and 10 mg/kg
-
Administration:i.p.; 14 days
-
Result:In the elevated plus maze test, % ITL was reduced to approximately 45% at 2 mg/kg, approximately 40% at 5 mg/kg, and 25% at 10 mg/kg.
In the novel object recognition test, the 2 mg/kg dose did not improve the discrimination index, while 5 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg produced higher discrimination index values.
In the rotarod test, 10 mg/kg did not impair motor coordination.
