Phosphoglucomutase, Rabbit muscle
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Phosphoglucomutase, Rabbit muscle is often used in biochemical studies. Phosphoglucomutase is an enzyme that can transfer the phosphate group on the α-D-glucose monomer forward from the 1-position to the 6-position or reversely transfer from the 6-position to the 1-position, and promote the glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate Transform each other. Phosphoglucomutase is a key enzyme in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, and plays an important role in the metabolism of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids.

Product Information
Molecular weight: approximately 62,000 Daltons
Optimum pH: 7.5-8.0, active in the range of 4.5-8.5
Activators: divalent cations, especially Mg2+, glucose-1,6-diphosphate, and glutathione. Histidine, 8-hydroxyquinoline and other metal binders may also work.
Inhibitors: high concentrations of chelating agents, gluconate-6-phosphate, nucleotides, and acetate.
Instructions
Dissolved in water (1 mg/mL) or in reference to specific experiments. It has been reported that the enzyme is very stable when dissolved in 0.05 M acetate buffer (pH 5.0), and its activity can be maintained for about 10 days at 2-8°C.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
