Scoparin
Scoparin is a C-glycosylflavone (chrysoeriol-8-C-glucoside) present in the juices of Citrus sinensis cultivars Sanguinello and Moro, as well as Citrus bergamia Risso and Citrus limetta Risso. Scoparin exhibits antioxidant activity.

Activité biologique
Scoparin (chrysoeriol-8-C-glucoside) is present in Sanguinello and Moro blood orange juices at concentrations between 0.5 and 0.7 mg/L, and is not detected in Tarocco blood orange juice[1].
Scoparin (5 min; 20 h) is identified in industrially processed Citrus bergamia Fantastico/Femminello/Castagnaro blend juice, where it occurs at a concentration of 7.2-7.9 mg/L and exhibits acid hydrolysis resistance characteristic of flavone C-glucosides[2].
Scoparin (Chrysoeriol-8-C-glucoside, compound 4) is present as a minor C-glucosyl flavone component in crude Citrus limetta Risso juice at a concentration of 0.10 mg/L[3].
