Cyclic ZD2 peptide exhibits moderate binding affinity to the EDB-FN protein fragment with a K_d of 11 μM as measured by surface plasmon resonance^[1].
Linear ZD2 peptide conjugated to Gd(HP-DO3A) exhibits higher binding affinity to the EDB-FN protein fragment with a K_d of 1.7 μM as measured by surface plasmon resonance^[1].
Linear ZD2 peptide conjugated to Gd(HP-DO3A) as ZD2-N3-Gd(HP-DO3A) (MT218) exhibits moderate binding affinity to the EDB-FN protein fragment with a K_d of 3.45 μM as measured by surface plasmon resonance^[1].
Cyclic ZD2 peptide specifically binds to EDB-FN in aggressive human prostate cancer sections, as confirmed by competitive blocking with an anti-EDB-FN monoclonal antibody^[1].

In Vivo

ZD2−N3-Gd(HP-DO3A) (0.02-0.04 mmol/kg; i.v.; single dose) produces dose-dependent MRI signal enhancement in PC3 prostate cancer xenografts in rats, with a 3-fold CNR at 0.02 mmol/kg and a 6-fold CNR at 0.04 mmol/kg, while showing no significant enhancement in EDB-FN_low tumors^[1].
