Description

Catestatin sCst is a negative control peptide with a scrambled amino acid sequence. Catestatin sCst fails to activate human mast cells and is used to verify the specificity of Catestatin action[1].

In Vitro

Catestatin sCst (2500 nM-5 μM; 40 min) does not induce degranulation of LAD2 human mast cells or human peripheral blood-derived mast cells[1].
Catestatin sCst (10 μM; 30 min) does not induce release of LTC4, PGD2, or PGE2 from LAD2 human mast cells[1].
Catestatin sCst (10 μM; 6 hr) does not induce protein production of GM-CSF, MCP-1/CCL2, MIP-1α/CCL3, or MIP-1β/CCL4 in LAD2 human mast cells[1].
Catestatin sCst (0.32 μM; 3 hr) does not induce chemotaxis of LAD2 human mast cells[1].
Catestatin sCst (5 μM; 5 min) does not induce phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, or p38 MAPKs in LAD2 human mast cells[1].
