MD08

MD08 is an inhibitor of Aβ42 fibrillization and Tau aggregation. MD08 improves recognition memory and learning/memory abilities in Aβ-induced cognitive decline mouse models. MD08 does not impair motor coordination in Aβ-injected mice. MD08 has no anticancer activity against neuroblastoma. MD08 can be used for research on Alzheimer's disease.

MD08 (50 μM; 24 h) is non-cytotoxic to SH-SY5Y cells^[1].

Aβ/Tau/α-Synuclein Aggregation

MD08 (50 μM) delays Aβ42 aggregation by modulating primary nucleation in the ThT fluorescence assay^[1].
MD08 (50 μM; 5 h) suppresses Aβ42 fibril formation, as shown by reduced and smaller aggregates in TEM images^[1].
MD08 (100-200 μM; 72 h) inhibits heparin-induced tau aggregation in a concentration-dependent manner, reaching approximately 75% inhibition at 200 μM^[1].

Others

MD08 exhibits moderate passive BBB permeability in the PAMPA-BBB assay with Pe = 3.42 μcm/s^[1].

Aβ/Tau/α-Synuclein Aggregation

MD08 (2-10 mg/kg; i.p.; 14 days) improves cognitive function in Aβ_25-35-injected mice, with the 10 mg/kg i.p. dose producing the greatest reduction in elevated plus maze % ITL and improved novel object recognition at 5 and 10 mg/kg^[1].
