MEDI-8852
Based on 1 Customer Validation
MEDI-8852 is a human IgG1 monoclonal antibody against influenza A virus hemagglutinin (HA). MEDI-8852 binds to the conserved HA stalk epitope and neutralizes viral infectivity. MEDI-8852 reduces viral titers in mouse lung tissues. MEDI-8852 is applicable to research related to pandemic influenza. Recommended isotype control: Human IgG1 kappa, Isotype Control (HY-P99001).

In Vitro
MEDI-8852 (< 50 μg/mL) potently neutralizes a broad panel of group I and group II pandemic-potential influenza A viruses in MDCK cells, with all 50% inhibitory concentrations (IC50 values) below 50 μg/mL[1].

In Vivo
MEDI-8852 (1-10 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose; 24 hours pre-challenge) confers dose-dependent prophylactic efficacy against H5N1 influenza in BALB/c mice, with 10 mg/kg providing 100% survival and no significant weight loss[1].
MEDI-8852 (1-10 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose; 24, 48, or 72 hours post-infection) confers time- and dose-dependent therapeutic efficacy against H7N9 influenza in BALB/c mice, with 10 mg/kg administered at 24 hours post-infection providing 90% survival[1].
MEDI-8852 (1-10 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose; 24, 48, or 72 hours post-infection) confers time- and dose-dependent therapeutic efficacy against H5N1 influenza in BALB/c mice, with 10 mg/kg administered at 48 or 72 hours post-infection providing 100% survival and no significant weight loss[1].
MEDI-8852 (25 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose; 24 or 72 hours post-infection) provides therapeutic efficacy against H7N9 influenza in ferrets, with 25 mg/kg administered at 24 hours post-infection limiting weight loss to <10%[1].
MEDI-8852 (6.25-25 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose; 72 hours post-infection) provides dose-dependent therapeutic efficacy against H5N1 influenza in ferrets when administered at 72 hours post-infection, with 12.5 mg/kg providing 86% survival[1].
