Moreollic acid

Moreollic acid (Compound 2) (5 μM; 48 h) potently inhibits the viability of HCT116 human colon cancer cells with an inhibition rate of 83.86%, whereas it exhibits only weak or no inhibitory effect on the viability of A549, MDA-MB-231 and KYSE30 cancer cells^[2].
Moreollic acid (48 h) inhibits the viability of human colon cancer cells HCT116, DLD1 and SW620, with IC₅₀ values of 1.71 μM, 1.44 μM and 1.49 μM, respectively; in contrast, it shows a higher IC₅₀ value of 3.16 μM against normal NCM460 colonic epithelial cells^[2].
