Lyxose
Lyxose is a pentose carbohydrate that serves both as a precursor for synthesizing UDP-galactopyranose mutase inhibitors in tuberculosis research and as an inhibitor of hSGLT5-mediated mannose uptake. The content of Lyxose in the cecum of mice fed a Western-style diet decreases.

Activité biologique
D-lyxose (100 mM; 30 min) acts as a low-affinity competitive inhibitor of hSGLT5-mediated mannose transport in T-Rex HEK-293 cells, with 100 mM inhibiting 50% of uptake and an estimated Ki of ≥100 mM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
