cis-L-3-Hydroxyproline is an Alanine-Serine-Cysteine transporter 2 (ASCT2, SLC1A5) substrate that can induces inwardly-directed anion current, and forms key interactions with ASCT2 binding site residues including Asn471.cis-L-3-Hydroxyproline can be used for the research of melanoma[1].

In Vitro

cis-L-3-Hydroxyproline (0-5 mM) activates ASCT2 in ASCT2-expressing HEK293 cells with a Km of 0.019 ± 0.01 mM, inducing a maximum current 1.39-fold higher than that of 1 mM alanine[1].
