Eleocharin A
Eleocharin A is an isoprenylated flavonoid compound found in the pericarp of Eleocharis tuberosa and the twigs of Artocarpus nigrifolius. Eleocharin A exhibits DPPH radical scavenging activity and reducing power antioxidant activity. Eleocharin A exerts cytotoxic effects on cancer cells. Eleocharin A can be used in research on cervical cancer and gastric cancer.

Eleocharin A (compound 1) (0.05-16 mg/mL; 30 min) exhibits strong DPPH radical scavenging activity in cell-free antioxidant assays[2].
Eleocharin A (0.1 mg/mL; 20 min) exhibits iron-reducing capacity in cell-free assays[2].
